Celtic winger Luis Palma scored his 2nd goal for the club in the 3-1 win over St Johnstone on Saturday afternoon.
The Honduran international, who joined from Aris FC for £3.5m in the summer, has started his career with the Scottish champions pretty brightly.
Most fans on X have been delighted with Palma’s performances since arriving at the club, but there are a few who have questioned his lack of pace:
Best signing this summer ….this guy and Nawroski give me good vibes

Looks decent but I always think a wide player needs blistering pace to take them to that next level. He doesn’t have that.

Getting there. There is a player there once completely settled.

He’s enjoying it and only started, more to come.

Really good on the ball and can shoot from distance. Lacks a bit of pace but looks a very good player 👍👍

It’s too early to judge Palma
Since moving to Celtic Park, the 23-year-old has made just 2 starts in total, so it’s hard to provide a definitive judgement on the player at this stage.
However, there is no doubt that Palma has an eye for goal. In addition to scoring twice in 3 league appearances, he was unlucky to have a goal chalked off for offside against Lazio in the Champions League last week.
Celtic’s summer recruitment has been hit-and-miss
While Palma looks like he could be a success in Scotland, there are doubts about some of the other players that have been brought in.
Marco Tilio hasn’t even played a single minute so far due to fitness problems, while Paulo Bernardo has not made the matchday squad on a couple of occasions already.
Kwon Hyeok-kyu doesn’t appear to be up to the standard required based on the lack of minutes he has been given by manager Brendan Rodgers. In contrast, Gustaf Lagebielke, Maik Nawrocki and Odi Thiago Holm look like good buys, along with Palma.
