Considering that Celtic didn’t really have many choices at right-back at the beginning of the summer following Mikael Lustig’s departure, they now have a whole host of options.
As well as Abd Elhamed, Kristoffer Ajer performed very well in the position at the beginning of the season, while Moritz Bauer can also be called upon by manager Neil Lennon after his loan move from Stoke.
Abd Elhamed does seem to be the first choice for the role at the moment, though, having started seven games already this campaign.
