Celtic are one of four teams pursuing FC Luzern midfielder Ardon Jashari, according to Blick.

The Swiss newspaper claims that the Hoops are targeting the 20-year-old, along with Porto, Atalanta and Lazio.

Jashari was handed his international debut by Switzerland back in September and he was subsequently named in his country’s World Cup squad.

While the holding midfield player was an unused substitute for most of the tournament, he did make a brief cameo appearance in the round of 16 game against Portugal.

Blick report that Luzern will hold out for a fee between €6m (£5.2m) and €8m (£7m) so Jashari won’t exactly be cheap, and it remains to be seen whether Hoops boss Ange Postecoglou believes he is worth the outlay.

The Scottish champions are not short of options in the middle of the park, with Tomoki Iwata having joined the ranks in January to supplement the likes of Aaron Mooy, Matt O’Riley, Reo Hatate, David Turnbull and Callum McGregor.
