Celtic and Wolfsburg are both keen on snapping up Ferencvaros midfielder Aissa Laidouni, according to Foot Mercato.

The French website claims the Tunisian, who has been capped 28 times bu his country, will be sold during the January transfer window if his asking price is met. Ferencvaros are reportedly willing “to let him go” if a team is willing to pay €4m (around £3.5m).

Laidouni was actually born in France and he made his way through Angers’ academy. He made just one appearance for the Ligue One club, though, before joining FC Voluntari in Romania. Just two years later, he ended up moving to his current team in Hungary.

The 25-year-old is a holding midfielder by trade, which may suggest that Hoops boss Ange Postecolgou is lining him up as a potential replacement for Yosuke Ideguchi.

After struggling for game time since his arrival in Scotland, the Japanese international is being linked with a move back to Asia, with Gamba Osaka and Nagoya Grampus his main suitors.
