Celtic And Ligue One Giants Still 3.4M Apart On Valuation For France U19 International

Celtic are only willing to pay €2m (£1.7m) for Paris Saint-Germain attacking midfielder Edouard Michut, according to The Independent.

The Ligue One champions have set their price tag at €6m (£5.1m) and they believe that manager Ange Postecoglou’s comments denying the club’s interest in the player earlier this week is a negotiating tactic to bring down their valuation.

It is also thought that PSG are demanding a sizeable sell-on clause for Michut, which is making negotiations even more difficult, so there are major doubts over whether the deal will go ahead.

The Independent claims that there are other teams interested in the France Under 19 international. Nice are said to be Celtic’s main rivals and that may make PSG less inclined to compromise over their asking price.

A replacement for Tom Rogic is something that will need to be considered but, at this stage, it doesn’t appear Michut will be the player that is brought in.
