Celtic And Rangers Both Have Bids Rejected For Scotland Youth International

Celtic and Rangers have had offers turned down for Queen’s Park left-back Cameron Bruce, according to The Scottish Sun.

The 16-year-old made his senior debut back in March, getting a brief cameo appearance against Alloa Athletic, before being rewarded with his first start versus Airdrieonians just a week later.

Bruce has also made a number of appearances for Scotland at Under 17 level, demonstrating how highly rated the young fullback is.

Queen’s Park are believed to be determined to keep the defender, with the club now funded by businessman Sir Willie Haughey.

They were promoted to the Scottish Championship last season, while they have invested heavily in their youth academy, with the ultimate aim of making it the best in the country.

In terms of Bruce, English clubs are also keeping tabs on the player, so Celtic will have a battle on their hands to secure the teenager’s services this summer.
