Celtic Braced For Sizeable Bid From EPL Club For Key Star In the ‘Coming Days’

Outside of Celtic Park

Arsenal are preparing a bid for Celtic left-back Kieran Tierney in the “coming days,” according to the Scottish Daily Mail.

Gunners boss Unai Emery is apparently a huge fan of the Hoops defender and has asked the London club’s board to make a bid for the Scottish international.

Tierney is happy at Celtic Park, and with the player tied down until 2023, Arsenal know they have a fight on their hands in order to land the defender.

A deal would have to exceed Celtic’s previous record transfer fee received to be even be considered. The Bhoys sold Moussa Dembele to Lyon for £20m last summer.

The Mail suggests that Tierney may be tempted to play south of the border in order to emulate Andy Robertson at Liverpool.

However, Arsenal are not in a position to win trophies due to limited transfer funds after failing to qualify for the Champions League.

It remains to be seen if Tierney is interested in a move to the Emirates or if he has his heart set on claiming a ninth Premiership title in a row with his boyhood club.
