Celtic Consider Juranovic Style Raid As They Eye Deal For Dutch Poacher Who Will Be Sold For 2.2M This Month

Celtic are one of the teams weighing up a move for Stal Mielec striker Said Hamulic, according to reports in the Polish media.

The 22-year-old only made the move to Poland from Lithuanian outfit DFK Dainava Alytus in the summer, but he has impressed for his new club, scoring nine goals and providing four assists in 17 appearances.

Despite his success, Stal Mielec have already confirmed that Hamulic will be sold during the January transfer window if a club matches their €2.5m (£2.2m) asking price.

Josip Juranovic arrived for a similar fee from another Polish team, Legia Warsaw, last year, but it remains to be seen whether Hamulic would be as successful.

The Dutchman, who has Bosnian parents, is likely seen as an option to replace Giorgos Giakoumakis who is poised to leave Celtic Park this month.

Danish club FC Midtjylland had reportedly entered negotiations to sign the Greek international, although it is believed a deal is unlikely as they cannot meet Celtic’s £6m valuation.
