AC Milan could offer centre-back Mateo Musacchio in their attempts to persuade Celtic into selling Kristoffer Ajer, according to the Sunday Post.

The newspaper claims that the Argentinian international is among the names being considered by the Rossoneri as part of their bid to seal a deal for Ajer.

It is believed Celtic have already turned down a £13.5m offer from Milan for the centre-back, but the Serie A side are said to be determined to get their man, with it being suggested they could go as high as €25m (£22m).

However, the likelihood of it being a simple cash offer are low, with Musacchio and youngster Matteo Gabbia believed to be the names being considered as part of a player plus cash deal.

Whether either player would interest the Hoops, it remains to be seen, but it seems the Scottish champions do have a battle on their hands to keep Ajer at the club.
