Celtic Could Claim 3M Windfall If EPL Club Seal Deal For French Ace

Celtic could receive £3m if Lyon decide to sell Moussa Dembele to West Ham, according to reports in the Scottish media.

The Hammers are the latest English team to take a look at the Frenchman, following previous interest from the likes of Manchester United and Chelsea.

Dembele has not scored in nine games this season and Lyon are believed to be open to selling the player for around £30m. With the Hoops having a 10% sell-on clause, the Scottish champions could potentially get a financial windfall in the January transfer window.

Whether West Ham will actually make a formal approach for Dembele in the New Year, it remains to be seen. They sold Albian Ajeti to Celtic in the summer and a replacement for the Swiss international will need to be sought.

The Irons currently have just one fit striker in Sebastien Haller, with Michail Antonio currently sidelined with a hamstring injury. However, it is still uncertain whether they will be able to stump up the cash for Dembele.
