Celtic Could Get 2M Transfer Windfall In The Next Nine Days

Celtic will receive an additional £2m from Ryan Christie’s move to Bournemouth if the Cherries seal promotion to the Premier League, according to reports.

Scott Parker’s side won’t be able to secure an automatic promotion spot this weekend but they could seal second spot in the Championship if they win against Fulham on Saturday, versus Swansea next Tuesday, and Blackburn the following weekend.

Nottingham Forest are currently seven points behind Bournemouth in the table but they still have five matches remaining, so mathematically they could still reach 85 points

The Cherries are on 77 so three consecutive victories would take them to 86. Whether that will happen, it doesn’t seem that likely as they face Fulham in their next match who are top of the table. Having already secured promotion, though, the Cottagers may not be as focused on getting a result.

In terms of Christie’s performances since swapping Celtic Park for the Vitality Stadium, he has been decent rather than spectacular, having scored three goals and contributed eight assists in 35 appearances.
