Celtic Join Three EPL Teams In Pursuing 15M Rated Forward Who Has Been Described As The ‘New Sadio Mane’

Celtic will attempt to see off competition from the likes of Newcastle, Everton and Leeds to sign Marseille forward Bamba Dieng, according to reports in the UK.

The Senegalese international has been told he can leave his current club, despite being a very highly rated young player.

Dieng has been labelled the new Sadio Mane in some sections of the media, with the 22-year-old possessing similar attributes to the former Liverpool star.

The amount of interest being shown in the striker, though, means Marseille could well hold out for a fee in the region of £15m.

It’s very unlikely that Celtic would even consider doing a deal for that price and it’s possible that the Scottish champions have enquired about a loan deal (with an option to buy) instead.

Manager Ange Postecoglou is believed to be on the lookout for a new forward but some reports have suggested that Albian Ajeti would have to leave before another signing is brought in.
