There were plenty of poor performers during Celtic’s 1-1 draw against Kilmarnock at the weekend but one of the players who received more criticism than most was Alexandro Bernabei.
The Argentine was one of the main culprits for the Hoops conceding the equaliser in injury time as David Watson earned Killie a point.
With the reigning champions having dropped below Rangers in the table, fans on X have been holding an inquest, and many were not impressed with Bernabei:
And Bernabei was the worst one out of the lot

The goal is all on Bernabei. Guy has the heart of a mouse and the stature of a wet roll of toilet paper

Still baffles me how Bernabei gets a game!

Whilst heβs not exactly aggressive, he tracked back.
But what the hell is Bernabei doing?
This guy is the culprit for goals lost almost every time he plays.

Wise up, Bernabei should never have let his man slip him

Bernabei was always going to cost us, it was only a matter of time, irony that it was in the game Taylor returned from injury is just Karma π€·ββοΈ maybe the guys that have roasted Taylor for months might wrap it up for a while π

BernabΓ©i and his haircut were both diabolical.
That guy is a clueless footballer.

Bernabei was set to leave Celtic Park in January
It’s clear that many supporters don’t believe that the 23-year-old is good enough to play for the club, and it seems that the feeling is shared by manager Brendan Rodgers and his backroom staff.
Reports in December suggested that Bernabei would have been offloaded during the January transfer window if the Hoops had received a satisfactory offer.
Taylor could not last the 90 minutes
Bernabei had come as a substitute on Saturday. He is Greg Taylor’s understudy but the Scottish international had only just returned to the starting lineup for the first time in over a month due to injury.
The fullback had been sidelined with a groin strain following the Scottish Cup victory over Buckie Thistle last month. It wasn’t a surprise that he didn’t last the full game against Kilmarnock.
