Celtic are interested in signing Red Star Belgrade striker Milan Pavkov, according to reports.
The 24-year-old has scored three times in the Serbian Superliga, although he has yet to score in the Champions League this season.
Pavkov was actually sent out on loan last campaign to Racknicki Nis. He scored 23 goals in the league and his form led to him returning to his parent club to become a first team player.
Celtic are expected to strengthen their forward line in the January transfer window after selling Moussa Dembele to Lyon for £20m.
They reportedly sent to scout to watch Pavkov in Red Star’s 0-0 draw against Napoli in the Champions League last week. The Hoops could have also watched Richmond Boakye, who is also said to be on the club’s radar.
However, it believed that the Ghanaian striker, who has just come back from a spell in China with Jiangsu Suning, would be a costlier acquisition than his teammate.
