Celtic Set To Miss Key Star For Up To TEN MATCHES As Kieran Devlin Provides Injury Update

Celtic forward Kyogo Furuhashi could be out until after the next international break, according to The Athletic‘s Hoops correspondent Kieran Devlin.

Following last week’s confirmation from manager Ange Postecoglou that the Japanese international is two to three weeks behind in his recovery compared to David Turnbull, Devlin has worked out that it could mean Furuhashi misses “up to another 10 games”.

Devlin has revealed that Turnbull has not even returned to training yet and, with that being the case, it would suggest Furuhashi won’t be available until the next derby clash against Rangers on April 3rd.

That would be a significant blow to Celtic’s title hopes. The Hoops have been performing extremely well in the 27-year-old’s absence, but they could certainly do with his goals in upcoming fixtures.

Furuhashi has been a revelation since arriving from Vissel Kobe in the summer, racking up 16 goals in 26 appearances, but he hasn’t been seen in action since Boxing Day due to hamstring problems.
