Celtic Teammate Makes Transfer Prediction As Edouard Is Linked With EPL Switch

Celtic centre-back Christopher Jullien is backing teammate Odsonne Edouard to stay at Parkhead despite speculation linking him with a move south of the border in recent months.

The likes of Arsenal, Manchester United, Chelsea, Newcastle, Leicester and Crystal Palace have all been mentioned as possible destinations for the 22-year-old.

However, Jullien thinks his fellow countryman is happy at Celtic, and he doesn’t believe he will be angling for a move away from the club any time soon:

“People speak about transfers, but who knows when football will be back? After that, all the other stuff can happen. Don’t worry, I’m sure Odsonne is good and happy where he is.”

“I’m sure he will stay. He is a bit silent, he hides what he is feeling, and he is someone who controls his emotions. But Odsonne’s a really good guy. Trust me, he is quite happy here.”

The Hoops are said to be keen to tie down Edouard to a new deal. With transfer prices likely to be substantially lower this summer, offloading the forward now would not be financially prudent.

The ideal scenario with be for the Frenchman to stick around for ten in a row, and then be allowed to leave for a sizeable transfer fee next summer. Whether that will happen, we shall have to wait and see.
