Celtic To Miss Out To French Giants For £12.8m Rated Hotshot

Celtic are expected to lose out on Le Harve striker Tino Kadewere to Lyon with the Ligue One club set to pay €15m (£12.8m) for the Zimbabwean international, according to reports in the French media.

There were claims in the Scottish press earlier this month that the Hoops were targeting the 24-year-old, but it’s likely that their capture of Patryk Klimala put an end to their interest.

The size of Kadewere’s transfer fee would certainly have been a major stumbling block as well, with the Le Harve forward’s move to Lyon set to eclipse Celtic’s club-record transfer fee.

The Zimbabwean has been in very good form this season, having bagged himself 18 goals in 20 appearances in France’s second tier. Whether he will go on to bigger and better things at Lyon, we shall have to wait and see.

Celtic supporters will be hoping that Klimala proves better value for money, with the Scottish champions having paid only €4m (£3.4m) for the Polish Under 21 international.
