Celtic Told To Shell Out 4M If They Want Seal January Deal For EFL Marksman

Peterborough have told interested clubs that they will only accept offers of around £4m for forward Siriki Dembele in the January transfer window, according to reports in England.

Celtic were first linked with the 25-year-old in December last year, whilst Glasgow rivals Rangers and Fulham have also kept tabs on the player.

Dembele’s contract will, though, expire next summer so the Hoops can talk to the striker in the New Year if they want to secure him on a free transfer in July.

Whether they will go after the Englishman, it remains to be seen. They won’t have to venture far to get insider knowledge about the player, as he is Karamoko Dembele’s older brother.

However, his performances since Peterborough’s promotion to the English Championship have been pretty mediocre, to say the least. Dembele has scored four goals and provided only two assists in 16 appearances for the club so far this campaign
