Celtic centre-half Carl Starfelt put in a solid performance after coming on as a second-half substitute in Sweden’s 2-1 win over Uzbekistan on Sunday.
The 26-year-old has had a shaky start to life at Parkhead after joining from Rubin Kazan for £4m back in July. Supporters on Twitter are hoping that the defender is slowly finding his feet:
Coming along nicely is the big chap.

If he keeps the podcasts switched off his confidence will be fine

Once he has a few more games under his belt, he will be solid. Same thing happened when jullien signed

Big man will be fine, he has a bit of class in him and he will do us proud this season.

Starfelt is decent
He'll be OK— @RabCorbett (@RabCorbett2) September 5, 2021
As some fans have mentioned, it can take some players time to settle into a new club and a new league. Starfelt has looked rash and rather uncertain on the ball at times, but there have been glimpses of the quality he possesses.
It will be hoped that he does start showing some consistency over the coming weeks and months. With Christopher Jullien believed to be closing in on a return from a long-term knee injury, there is optimism that the pair can strike up a formidable centre-back partnership in the not too distant future.
