Enquiry Made As English Rival Look To Beat Celtic To 15M Rated Ghanaian Markman’s Signature

Middlesbrough have made an enquiry about Bristol City forward Antoine Semenyo, according to reports in England.

Chris Wilder’s side have seemingly joined Celtic and a host of other teams pursuing the Ghanaian international, who has stalled on signing a new contract at Ashton Gate.

Semenyo’s agent revealed that the Hoops made their own enquiry earlier this year, so the Scottish champions do have a genuine interest in the player, but the likes of West Ham, Crystal Palace, Southampton, Brighton, Bournemouth and Fulham have also been linked with the 22-year-old.

Although the striker does have less than twelve months left on his current deal at Bristol City, the Robins do have an option to extend it for an extra year, meaning they can still demand a high transfer fee.

Semenyo’s valuation could reportedly be as high as £15m and, while Celtic are in the market for a forward, it’s unlikely that they would break their transfer record to sign the Championship star.
