German Heavyweights Plan Summer Swoop For £25m Rated Celtic Defender

Borussia Dortmund have joined Arsenal and Leicester City in the race to sign Celtic left-back Kieran Tierney, according to reports in the UK.

The 21-year-old has been tipped to follow his former manager Brendan Rodgers to the Foxes but Dortmund could make a bid of their own.

The Bundesliga club are said to be targeting Tierney as part of their summer transfer plans. However, Celtic would demand as much as £25m for the Scottish international.

After missing two months of the season with a hip injury, the defender has been in decent form since his return to the side.

Tierney has played the full 90 minutes in all three of Neil Lennon’s game in charge so far, and will likely feature again when the Hoops face Dundee on Sunday.

So far this campaign, the fullback has made 35 appearances in all competitions, scoring one goal and providing six assists for his teammates.
