Celtic youngster Mackenzie Carse has signed a new contract keeping him at the club until 2025.
The Scottish youth international has been a regular starter for the B team in the Lowland League this season and supporters on Twitter are very happy that he has been given a new deal:

His parents will be so proud. A real talent. Hopefully one the makes the breakthrough into the first team squad and gets a chance.
Incidentally, his dad, Jim, saved my dads life about 6 years ago. He told me how his son was playing at Celtic & Iโve kept an eye out ever since.

Carse has also featured in the UEFA Youth League and the highlight of his campaign so far was probably the assist he provided for Rocco Vata’s goal in the 2-1 win over RB Leipzig.
However, the 19-year-old was sent off for two bookable offenses in the return fixture so it has been an up-and-down last six months.
With a contract extension in place, though, Carse will be looking forward to what the future holds over the next two years. If he doesn’t make his first-team breakthrough, the midfielder will likely be sent out on loan but we shall see how quickly he progresses.
