Celtic centre-back Cameron Carter-Vickers was one of the few players who impressed for the Hoops during their defeat to RB Leipzig yesterday evening.
The former Tottenham defender was in the thick of the action, winning tackles as well as making interceptions and clearances. His efforts may have proved in vain but supporters on Twitter were very impressed with his display:
He was unreal last night

Absolute unit

What a rock he is, and Jenz compliments him brilliantly.
I dread to think what the score would’ve been without him last night.

Looks a level above the rest of our defence.

He was unreal last night, Marshall’s the line, always making sure the defence push up together. I was soo impressed with him last night, in a 2-0 loss. Works his socks off and puts himself about. Fitting to wear the armband in Calmacs absence

If our strikers and wingers had the composure this guy has under pressure, we’d be miles better off.
One of his best games in a Celtic jersey last night. Absolutely strolled it.

Absolute rolls royce of a player both him and Jenz

Our most important player by a mile if he stays fit we’ll win the treble

£6m was a lot for Celtic to shell out on one player but Carter-Vickers has already shown why it was worth bringing him in on a permanent basis during the summer.
When he was sidelined with injury for the defeat against St Mirren and the first game versus Leipzig, his absence was keenly felt, and he is undoubtedly the club’s best centre-half.
Carter-Vickers didn’t deserve to be on the losing side last night, and he will be hoping his team can get back to winning ways against Hibs this weekend.
