One of the agents representing OH Leuven striker Thomas Henry has revealed that the Frenchman has offers from five different countries.
Reports in the Scottish media originally claimed that the 26-year-old was on the verge of joining Celtic for £7m but the forward’s UK representative Paul Tait played down those stories, suggesting the player has not made a decision on which club he will be joining:
“There are a number of clubs who have expressed an interest in signing Thomas before the transfer window closes. My business partner Dusan has received offers from Belgium, France, Germany, Italy and the UK for Thomas, and he will consider all his options before making a decision on his future.”
Rangers, Newcastle United, Crystal Palace and Roma are also believed to be keeping tabs on Henry, who scored 21 goals in 31 appearances for Leuven in the Belgian top-flight last season.
It was only four years ago that the striker was playing in the third tier of French football but, since moving to Belgium, he has been extremely prolific in front of goal.
Henry is reportedly being targeted by Celtic as a potential replacement for Odsonne Edouard, who is expected to leave Parkhead before the end of the month.
