“I Don’t Really Care…” Celtic Ace Issues Emphatic Response After He Is Linked With £10M Summer Transfer

Celtic winger Liel Abada has poured cold water on reports that he could leave Parkhead at the end of the season.

Respected journalist Stephen McGowan has claimed that the Hoops would be prepared to sell the Israeli international for £10m this summer after talks over contract extension collapsed, but Abada says he hasn’t even considered his future plans:

“Right now, I’m [at] Celtic. I don’t really care about any of the things being said about my future – I just care about giving 100 per cent in training and in games for Celtic. I am happy here and that’s the most important thing. That is our focus – to complete our target. For me, right now I am only Celtic and I don’t care about the summer or anything else.”

It should be pointed out that Southampton were reported as the favourites for Abada’s signature but, with the Saints now looking certain to be relegated from the Premier League, they are no longer a viable destination.

Crystal Palace have also scouted the 21-year-old but it has to be said that there haven’t been any credible rumours linking Abada with any team in recent months, other than Southampton.

Of course, things may change in the coming days and weeks but, from the sound of things, Abada will be staying put at Celtic Park for a little while longer.
