Celtic are prepared to let winger Liel Abada leave the club during the summer transfer window, according to the Daily Mail reporter Stephen McGowan.
The reliable journalist claims talks over a wage rise have broken down and the Scottish champions are now willing to “listen to offers” for the Israeli international.
Southampton are believed to be the red-hot favourites to secure the services of Abada, with the Saints planning to make a £10m offer.
There was already a lot of speculation about the 21-year-old’s future before McGowan made his latest claims about the player.
The president of Abada’s previous club, Maccabi Petah Tikva, has said that he is “90%” sure that the forward will leave Celtic Park at the end of the season.
They received £3.6m from the Hoops when he made the switch to Scotland in 2021 but they also have a sell-on clause. That means they will be entitled to a portion of any future transfer fee that Celtic receive for Abada.
