“I’ve Had Zero Interest” Manager Addresses Stories That Celtic Are Trying To Snap Up 15 Goal Midfielder

Shamrock Rovers manager Stephen Bradley has refuted reports that Celtic are keen on signing midfielder Danny Mandroiu.

It was claimed in the Irish press earlier this week that the Hoops were interested in the 23-year-old but Bradley categorically denied that Rovers have had contact with the Scottish club about the player:

“I’ve had zero interest off any club for Danny. I’ve had zero contact from any club.”

Mandroiu has been in outstanding form in the League of Ireland Premier Division, scoring 15 goals and providing six assists in 42 appearances.

The standard of football hasn’t put off Celtic from signing players previously, with Liam Scales having also been snapped up from Shamrock Rovers in September.

It is believed that manager Ange Postecoglou is keen on strengthening his squad with two new midfielders in January but, whether Mandroiu is among the top targets, it isn’t known.

The likes of Gremio’s Fernando Henrique and Kawasaki Frontale’s Reo Hatate have also been mentioned as possible options over the past few weeks.
