Journalist Reveals Barry Douglas’s Stance On Securing A Move To Celtic

Leeds left-back Barry Douglas remains “fully committed” to the Yorkshire club and is not agitating for a move, despite Celtic’s interest in him, according to journalist Beren Cross.

The local reporter says the Scottish international is unlikely to be happy with his lack of game time at Elland Road last campaign but he believes the defender won’t force through a switch to Celtic Park:

“United’s number three is not rocking the boat, not looking for a move and remains committed to the club as they begin their Premier League journey.”

Douglas has been consistently linked with a move to Celtic over the past year or two, but the likely departure of Boli Bolingoli means his name is right back at the top of the agenda.

It is thought that the 30-year-old is very high up on the list of targets that the Hoops are looking at to strengthen their options at left-back.

Prior to joining Leeds for £3m two years ago, Douglas excelled as a wing-back in a 3-5-2 at Wolves, and manager Neil Lennon may be eyeing him to do a similar role at Celtic.
