Kieran Devlin Reveals Another Lennon Signing Who Is Set To Be Discarded By Postecoglou

Celtic midfielder Ismaila Soro is likely to be made available for transfer next month, according to The Athletic‘s Kieran Devlin.

The website’s Hoops correspondent believes the Ivorian, who was signed when Neil Lennon was still manager in the 2020 January transfer window, is now deemed surplus to requirements.

Ange Postecoglou has only played Soro twice since September, as a late substitute in the 1-0 win over St Johnstone in the League Cup semi-final, and against Real Betis in the last Europa League group stage match.

Devlin claims that the 23-year-old could be offloaded, along with fellow Lennon signings Vasilis Barkas and Boli Bolingoli, if buyers can be found next month.

The three players cost Celtic just over £10m and the Scottish club are very unlikely to recoup anywhere close to that amount. Barkas is expected to be sent out on loan, while Bolingoli won’t fetch anything close to the £3m he was signed for.
