Lennon ‘Prepared To Let Go’ Of 20M Rated Celtic Star Who Now Has Three EPL Clubs Chasing Him

Celtic manager Neil Lennon is “prepared to let go” of centre-back Kristoffer Ajer in order to raise funds for other signings, according to the Daily Express.

The English newspaper claims the Hoops would be willing to listen to offers for the Norwegian international, with the player expected to fetch around £20m.

Ajer has two years remaining on his contract at Parkhead but there has been no indication that he will sign an extension. Following Celtic’s Champions League exit to Ferencvaros earlier this week, Lennon claimed there were some players in the squad who were angling for moves away from the Scottish champions.

The Irishman didn’t name names but Ajer is likely to have been one of those he was referring to. His former agent Tore Pedersen confirmed in March that the 22-year-old was keen on leaving the club.

The Express claims that, in addition to West Brom, Southampton and West Ham have now taken a keen interest in the Norwegian.
