New Report Reveals Celtic Boss Is ‘Under Serious Consideration’ To Replace Potter At Brighton

Celtic manager Ange Postecoglou is “under serious consideration” to replace Graham Potter as Brighton Head Coach, according to The Times.

There were reports over the weekend that the Seagulls weren’t considering a move for the Australian but it appears he is on the Premier League club’s shortlist of candidates:

Bodo/Glimt’s Kjetil Knutsen is believed to be one of the favourites to succeed Potter (who became Chelsea manager last week), but there are also other names in the frame (in addition to Postecoglou).

Ex-Shakhtar Donetsk manager Roberto De Zerbi, Nottingham Forest’s Steve Cooper and Swansea coach Russell Martin are said to be the alternatives.

It’s unlikely that Postecoglou would consider moving to the south coast. He is already managing a club in the group stages of the Champions League and he would be joining a team with a much smaller fanbase. The lure of the Premier League has tempted managers in the past but you do feel that the Australian has barely got started with his plans at Celtic Park.
