‘Noooo!!!’ ‘Play Him In The Semi Final Then He Can Go For Surgery’ Fans Discuss Concerning Reports About Celtic Star’s Fitness

Carter-Vickers

Celtic centre-back Cameron Carter-Vickers is carrying a knee injury, according to reports in the Scottish media.

The American international did not play against Kilmarnock at the weekend as the Hoops wanted to protect him from further damage on a plastic pitch.

However, it appears Carter-Vickers needs surgery to correct the problem and it’s now likely that he will play the Scottish Cup semi-final against Rangers before having an operation. Fans on Twitter have been discussing the situation:

It is believed that Carter-Vickers will miss the rest of the season once he goes under the knife. With the Premiership title all but sewn up, though, the only important fixture remaining is the cup final, if Celtic make it through.

Considering they would face Falkirk or Inverness Caledonian Thistle, Ange Postecoglou’s side could probably get by without Carter-Vickers. Yuki Kobayashi has looked solid when called upon and the 22-year-old should have no issues playing alongside Carl Starfelt in the centre of defence.
