Rafa Benitez’s Stance On Next Managerial Post Revealed As He Rejects English Club

Rafa Benitez is not in a rush to get back into management after turning down the chance of being interviewed for the Bournemouth job, according to the Daily Mail.

The Spaniard was under consideration for the position with the Cherries, but the former Liverpool and Chelsea manager is thought to be keen to spend more time with his family.

Benitez left his post at Chinese Super League side Dalian Professional a month ago and he has also been mentioned as a possible successor to Neil Lennon at Celtic.

By the sound of things, the 60-year-old would not be open to a new challenge any time soon, but that may suit the Hoops who could easily wait until the summer to make their next appointment.

Of course, even if Benitez were to be available at the end of the season, Celtic’s majority shareholder Dermot Desmond would likely have to offer significant funds to overhaul the playing squad; something that is unlikely to happen.
