Celtic are in “contact” with Swedish forward Jordan Larsson, according to Sky Sports reporter Anthony Joseph.
The journalist says that a number of other teams, including English Premier League side Nottingham Forest, are also interested in the 25-year-old:
The reps of striker Jordan Larsson have been in contact with a number of clubs across Europe, including Celtic & Nottingham Forest.
He’s a free agent after his contract was terminated at Spartak Moscow.
Understood to be plenty of interest from EPL, Bundesliga & Serie A clubs.

Supporters on Twitter are very much behind the Hoops making a move Larsson, and not only because he is the son of club legend Henrik:
He’s a very good player and we’re probably the club in the best position to get him. His dream is to play for Celtic, I’m actually really confident this will happen

The only thing that will stop us is the wages

It would be poetic to see him in a Celtic shirt like the prodigal son returning having proven himself away. Him being a free agent he could sign a rolling contract and if it didnt work out he’d still have fufilled a childhood dream and made a lot if people happy.

Free agent? Wages 20k per week = 1 million pound. Resale value if he does well = 5 million.

Bring him home💚

Be a great signing if we can get him. Looks like there’s interest from the EPL too in the form of Forest and Brentford from what I’ve read. European football will be tempting but EPL wages sadly can’t be ignored.

Russia is a good level.

yes he’s good, but it is because of who his dad is that some celtic fans want him. fact

Larsson left Spartak Moscow on a free transfer at the end of last month, so it is not a surprise that so many teams are currently pursuing his signature.
You would think that Celtic would have an edge in the race for Larsson, considering his family’s close connections with the Scottish champions but, as some have pointed out, finances could prove to be a sticking point.
Fans, though, will be hoping that the lure of Parkhead will help persuade the player to snub interest from elsewhere and secure a move to Scotland.
