REPORT: Celtic Marksman Won’t Sign New Contract Unless Key Condition Is Met

Celtic forward Odsonne Edouard will not sign a contract extension with the club unless certain conditions are met, according to the Football Insider.

The Frenchman has been heavily linked with a move to the Premier League, with Arsenal the latest club to be mentioned as a possible destination.

Edouard is ambitious and with that in mind, he is said to want a release clause to be inserted into his new deal which can be triggered if an interested team matches the amount agreed.

The 22-year-old has been in scintillating form this season with 27 goals in 45 appearances, but he will only have two years left to run on his contract in the summer.

The Hoops are believed to have held preliminary discussions over a new deal, but with certain preconditions being set by the player, it remains to be seen if an agreement between the two sides can be thrashed out.
