Report Reveals Celtic Will Demand 17M For World Cup Star As Six Clubs Enter January Transfer Battle

Celtic have set a £17m asking price for right-back Josip Juranovic, according to Sportske Novosti.

The Croatian news outlet claim that the Hoops are “ready to sell” the Croatian international in January but only if a team meets their valuation of the player.

Six clubs are now believed to be vying for Juranovic’s signature. Torino, Barcelona, Chelsea and Manchester United’s interest was already well known but Newcastle and Espanyol have also now entered the fray.

The defender had an excellent World Cup, having played a key role as Croatia went all the way to the semi-final, beating the likes of Brazil in the process.

However, despite only joining Celtic from Legia Warsaw last summer, Juranovic has become unsettled in Glasgow after talks over increasing his salary ended without agreement. A parting of ways next month looks very unlikely, as long as a club is prepared to match the Scottish champions’ price tag.
