‘Ridiculous’ ‘Statue. Now’ Fans On Twitter Lavish Praise On Celtic Ace After Sublime Piece Of Skill Against Hearts

Celtic striker Odsonne Edouard played a crucial role in the Hoops’ opening goal in the 2-0 win against Hearts last night. The Frenchman looked to have bee crowded out by defenders before delivering a backheel to Ryan Christie.

With the midfielder in red-hot form, he duly delivered an excellent finish to put his side 1-0 up, but fans on Twitter have been reserving special praise for Edouard’s part in the goal:

Edouard’s all round game has improved immensely since his arrival at Parkhead two and a half years ago. He may have scored 14 goals this season, but his 13 assists are equally impressive.

If Neil Lennon‘s side do go on to clinch nine in a row this campaign, it will be in no small part thanks to the Frenchman’s contributions in attack.

Celtic missed Edouard hugely when he was sidelined with a knee injury earlier this month and supporters will be hoping he can stay fit for the rest of the season.
