‘Room For Movement’ Journalist Makes Promising Claim As Celtic Try And Secure Star For Less Than 6M

Tottenham are open to lowering their valuation for Cameron Carter-Vickers, according to the Daily Record‘s Scott Burns.

The journalist claims Celtic have opened talks over signing the American international on a permanent basis and there is “room for movement” in terms of the player’s asking price:

It has been reported that Spurs were looking to get £6m up front for Carter-Vickers, in addition to future add-ons that could rise to £10m. Such a figure would put the defender out of the Hoops’ price range.

If Burns is correct in saying that the price tag could be lowered, then a transfer before the window closes at the end of this month could well be in sight.

With Celtic having already signed three players and, with talks scheduled to take place to bring in Jota from Benfica too, it seems as though the club are pulling out all the stops to ensure manager Ange Postecoglou gets the reinforcements he needs this January.
