Brighton defender Shane Duffy has taken to Twitter to share a photo of him back in preseason training with the Seagulls, but his brief remarks have left many speculating about what the future holds for the Irishman.
The centre-back simply captioned the image “Back with the boys” but his decision to include an hourglass is more cryptic, with some suggesting he is hinting at a possible departure from the Amex:

Hoops boss Neil Lennon did confirm at his pre-match press conference today that the Scottish champions have made enquiries about signing Duffy:
“I am not here to talk about who we could sign and who we couldn’t sign but I think it is common knowledge there has been interest expressed.”
A move could, however, be complicated by a number of factors. Brighton are said to be demanding a £2m loan fee for the 28-year-old, while there will also be competition from the likes of West Ham for the player’s signature.
Considering Duffy is a childhood Celtic fan, though, the club will be hoping that he tries to force through a move to Parkhead.
