Sky Sports Reporter Can Only See Odsonne Edouard Leaving Celtic On One Condition

Sky Sports journalist Anthony Joseph doesn’t believe Odsonne Edouard will be leaving Celtic before the transfer window closes unless a team offers a huge sum for the 22-year-old.

Considering not many teams have been splashing the cash since the start of the summer, Joseph expects the France Under 21 international will be staying at Parkhead for now:

Speculation about Edouard’s future has increased over the past week after the decision was made not to include the striker in the starting line up for the 3-2 win against Livingston at the weekend.

Manager Neil Lennon clarified the situation after the match, saying that the Frenchman was rested due to the fatigue, although that hasn’t stopped talk about the forward’s potential departure.

The likes of Arsenal, Leicester and Brighton have bee mentioned as potential destinations for Edouard but Joseph’s comments indicate that there are no bids imminent for the forward. That will come as a tremendous relief to Hoops fans who are very keen to keep their number nine as the Scottish champions look to secure their tenth league title in a row.
