Celtic manager Neil Lennon has revealed that the Hoops are actively looking to sign players in five different positions before the transfer window shuts next month.
The Hoops sold Kieran Tierney to Arsenal yesterday for £25m, and Lennon has confirmed that the Scottish champions are looking for a replacement, as well as a number of other targets:
“We’ll look to bring another left-back in, no question. A right-back as well. And a left-winger. And a right-winger. And maybe a centre forward.”
Supporters on Twitter are pretty sceptical about Lennon’s comments considering the lack of movement in the transfer market so far this summer:
So….a new team basically

5 more player's in! I'd love to see it happen but seriously doubt it unless 2 or 3 are loans with minimal fees, will be very happy to be proved wrong though

After Boli Bolingoli-Mbombo’s poor performance against Cluj on Wednesday night, some competition for the fullback is certainly a priority. Cover for Abd Elhamed on the opposite side would also be a good idea.
With Scott Sinclair now expected to stay at Parkhead, the need for another winger or two is probably not as urgent. Increasing the club’s firepower upfront, though, is something that Celtic have needed for a long time so hopefully, a new striker also arrives before September 2nd.
