Sutton Delivers His Verdict AS SPFL Reveal Results Of Independent Investigation

Celtic striker Chris Sutton has given his reaction to the news that no improper product was found in the independent investigation which looked at how voting to end the SPFL season was carried out.

Rangers claimed that they had a whistleblower who possessed evidence of impropriety but taking to Twitter, Sutton said he wasn’t surprised that no such wrongdoing was discovered:

While the Championship, League One and League Two campaigns have now been ended, the Premiership has been put on ice until UEFA’s guidance for ending the season on “sporting merit” can be worked through.

Needless to say, Celtic’s players and fans would want to win their ninth league title in a row on the pitch but the global health crisis will make that almost impossible.

The Scottish government has suggested that even playing football games behind closed doors may not be sanctioned, leaving the SPFL with very little option on the matter.
