Ex-Celtic striker Chris Sutton has praised the performance of Diego Laxalt despite the Hoops succumbing to a 3-1 home defeat to AC Milan.
The Uruguayan international was facing his parent club last night, but taking to Twitter after the game, Sutton said that the wingback, along with substitute Tom Rogic, were the two players who could hold their head’s up high following the disappointing loss:
No doubt Neil Lennon will regret not going with a back 4… Laxalt very good and good to see Rogic back with some nice touches… can’t get away from it though another disappointing night for Celtic…

It was a dispiriting defeat, especially coming so quickly after the very poor performance against Rangers last weekend. Milan are a very good team at the moment. They have won every game they have played this season so far, but manager Neil Lennon would have been frustrated with the first-half display, in particular.
The Celtic boss will be looking for a reaction when his side face Aberdeen on Sunday. The Dons are just three points behind the Hoops heading into the game, and it will be a tough fixture at Pittodrie.
