Celtic could only manage a goalless draw at home against Livingston on Saturday. After struggling to see off ten-man Rangers and drawing 0-0 against Aberdeen at home in recent weeks, performances under Neil Lennon have been unconvincing.
The Northern Irishman was given the Hoops job until the end of the season following Brendan Rodgers’ departure for Leicester City.
However, a lot of fans on Twitter are hoping the Celtic board don’t extend his stay beyond the summer following the result at the weekend:
2 goals in 3 home league games is the reality.

Lennon better be nowhere near the gig next season.

Terrible. Get it sorted.

Don’t even think about appointing Lennon permanent manager. The football since he’s taken over has been shocking. Scraping through games. Won’t be shocked if he is the manager though ?

Fresh ideas needed.

Peter Lawwell better be looking for a new manager as Lenny is now not an option.

Like Lenny a lot but we will be going backwards if here beyond his remit as the team have been grinding through since Brendan left.

Lennon has kept things on an even keel since being appointed in late February but supporters have been used to an attacking brand of football in recent years under Rodgers.
A switch to a more conservative, defensive approach hasn’t been greeted with much enthusiasm, but if he does secure the treble-treble by the end of the campaign, the 47-year-old won’t have done his chances any harm of getting the job on a permanent basis.
