Former Celtic striker Chris Sutton has summarised what he thinks of the Rangers’ dossier which details accusations against the SPFL.
The Scottish League have dismissed the claims as being baseless, and Sutton has stated that he feels the much-anticipated evidence is nothing more than a damp squib:
Rangers dossier as expected has shaken Scottish football to the core…
SPFL spokesman “ initial investigation into Rangers dossier fail to identify a single shred of evidence to support Rangers vociferous claims of corruption, bullying and coercion by SPFL staff”— Chris Sutton (@chris_sutton73) May 7, 2020
Celtic supporters on Twitter backed up Sutton’s comment:
The Banter years continue ??

The allegations which have been publicised don’t appear to stand up, but it won’t be the SPFL who will have a final say on whether an internal investigation will be carried out.
An EGM will be convened on Tuesday where the dossier will be discussed and a vote will be held by the 42 member clubs. 75% will need to vote in favour of a new probe for it to go ahead.
With what has emerged regarding the evidence so far, it appears that Sutton may well be right in dismissing the allegations but we shall have to wait until next week to find out more.
