“The Best Thing For Him…’ Celtic Legend Offers Juranovic Advice Amid United And Chelsea Links

Former Celtic goalkeeper Artur Boruc believes Josip Juranovic should spend at least another year with the Hoops before deciding to leave Scotland.

Both Manchester United and Chelsea have been mentioned as potential suitors for the Croatian international in recent weeks, but Boruc feels the defender would be better off staying put for now:

“I don’t want to say much but the best thing for him would maybe be two good years at Celtic. Play a little bit more in Europe and then move on. I don’t know.”

Celtic have reportedly slapped a £15m asking price on Juranovic but, so far, it isn’t believed that any team has made a formal bid for the right-back.

Some sources have suggested that Manchester United assistant Steve McLaren has recommended that the Red Devils sign Juranovic so their interest is said to be more serious than Chelsea’s. However, the 26-year-old is likely to be just one of many options being considered.

Chelsea captain Cesar Azpilicueta recently signed a contract extension and that means the Blues aren’t pressing to sign another fullback at this stage.

A lot can happen in the last couple of weeks of the transfer window but, for the time being, it doesn’t look as though Juranovic will be leaving this summer.
