“Very Keen” Journalist Reveals Player’s Stance As Celtic Are Handed Huge Boost In Securing 6M Transfer

Cameron Carter-Vickers is “very keen” on joining Celtic on a permanent basis, according to journalist Dean Jones.

The American international is on loan at Parkhead until the summer but, despite having the option to buy the Spurs centre-back, there have been doubts over whether he may be tempted to stay in England, with the likes of Leicester, Wolves, Bournemouth and Watford pursuing his signature. However, Jones says the defender is favouring a switch to Scotland:

“I think that Carter-Vickers is very keen, because he feels like he can become part of the project there long-term, and I think it’s one that is realistic to be honest.”

Whether Jones’ information turns out to be accurate, we shall have to wait and see. Reports suggest that the Hoops will have to pay an initial £6m if the deal for Carter-Vickers is finalised but those figures have not been confirmed by reliable sources.

Manager Ange Postecoglou has expressed his desire to keep 23-year-old on more than one occasion this season and so the club are likely to do all they can to keep the player at Celtic Park.
