Celtic defender Greg Taylor has had to be patient for his opportunities following his summer move from Kilmarnock but after experiencing a difficult to start to life at Parkhead, the fullback has begun to establish himself as a first-team regular over the past few weeks.
Boli Bolingoli’s absence due to injury and Neil Lennon’s switch to 3-5-2 has facilitated the Scottish international reintroduction into the starting line up. After providing two assists in the 5-0 win over Hearts on Wednesday, the 22-year-old says he is determined to make sure he keeps his place in the side:
?️ @GregGregtaylor: “I want to become a regular at Celtic, that was always my aim as soon as I walked in the door. I understand that at a massive club like this there is competition for places, but I’ve got full belief in myself that I can.”

Following Taylor’s excellent performance midweek, supporters on Twitter are backing the left-back’s claim for regular game time:
Greg will be a great player for us. Looks comfortable in the jersey. Many never get there.

There is now some decent competition on the left-hand side, with Bolingoli having returned to fitness to start the 3-0 win over Clyde last weekend. The Belgian performed well on the day and would have felt hard done by when he was dropped to the bench against Hearts. With Jonny Hayes also able to provide cover, Lennon has a fair few options at his disposal.
