Celtic will face either CFR Cluj or Maccabi Tel-Aviv if the club make it through to the third qualifying round of the Champions League.
Neil Lennon’s side must navigate past Estonian club Nomme Kalju first, but the draw has got a lot of supporters talking on Twitter.
Some fans feel that they could have got easier opponents in the next round:
Not the easiest of draws but it’s not the hardest we could of got

Not the worst draw. But cannot take either too lightly

tough draw

Fun whilst it lasted. On to 2020/21

People saying that’s a good draw? Those are very dangerous teams. Technically astute, physical and aggressive, neither would be easy.
— Bert Douglas (@Indymhan84) 22 July 2019
On the other hand, a fair number of Celtic supporters were happy with the draw:
Will take that, red star or paok would have been a nightmare
— Cammy Hutton (@fatpirlo) 22 July 2019
Happily take that, much better than getting Red Star, Maribor

Easy peasy neil lemon squeezy

Cluj have won the Romanian league for the last two seasons, and have previously made it into the Champions League group stages.
Maccabi Tel-Aviv won their first league title for four years last campaign. Last time they were in the European competition, they also made it into the group stage.
Celtic may be more concerned if Cluj beat the Israeli side, though, with the Romanian team likely to make it a very challenging away leg.
