Vitoria Guimaraes midfielder Alfa Semedo is poised to put pen to paper on a three-year contract after Celtic agreed a deal to sign the 24-year-old, according to Diario de Transferencias.
The Portuguese news outlet claims that the former Nottingham Forest and Reading player will join the Hoops on an initial loan deal, but the move will become permanent at the end of next season:

It is believed that Celtic will pay an initial €2.5m (£2.15m) for Semedo, with another €1m (£860,000) in add-ons, which would be a significant outlay on a player who only joined Vitoria from Benfica for just over a £1m last summer.
We shall have to wait and see whether more reliable sources confirm Diario de Transferencias‘s information. At the moment, all of the reports are emanating from Portugal so it would be good to hear from a trusted journalist in Scotland to find out whether a deal is in the works.
